Hi, I am Hannah Oliver, Founder of Blue Eye, a high quality sunglass brand that is redefining the way you view sunglasses. I am based out of Atlanta, Georgia and I am passionate about providing the perfect eyewear to protect your eyes while also being stylish.
You may be asking what started my love for eyewear?
As long as I can remember, I have always loved wearing sunglasses, but it wasn’t until one fateful day that my love of sunglasses changed my life. August 3, 2021, I was in a car accident when my airbag deployed and my beautiful designer sunglasses that I cherished shattered into a million pieces. Those jagged shards of cheap plastic impaled my right eye causing it to deflate, detaching my retina, and severing my optic nerve. Within the blink of an eye, my life had changed.
Until this point in my life, I thought wearing sunglasses would protect my eyes but little did I know the pair of sunglasses that sat less than a inch from my eye would be the reason I am partially blind.
During the next year of my life, I would go through 6 surgeries to repair the damage my sunglasses had caused. What I thought was a total freak accident, I have since learned this happens all too often to others not only through car accidents but through everyday occurrences.
This is when I started to think, why can I not pick up a pair of sunglasses and not have to worry if something may happen? Especially now, I have to protect the only eye I have left. So I decided to take it into my hands and create my own line of shatter resistant sunglasses.

In addition, for each pair of Blue Eye sunglasses sold we will give back a portion of profits to eye research in hopes of helping others who have lost their eyesight.
Since my accident, it has become my mission to spread awareness to the danger of sunglasses and how we should not have to compromise our safety for stylish eyewear.
